Don’t forget Thibs works magic on backup centers. Precious is about to have a career year

The Thing to think about is that the Mitch news wasn’t some shock to the FO, they knew what was coming and still didn’t panic spend on some other center, hopefully this means they’re confident in what we have now or have an idea on how to fill the void

Yeah but remember that time he got a turnover?!?

If there is one coach I’d want to get the most out of any big man, it’s Thomas

Precious had a great stretch after ASB. That’s why we need to at least see what he’s got.

He wasn’t as good in playoffs, but I’ll chalk it up to jitters or Mitch playing vs the sixers

I dont think ppl are doubting Precious but more so Jericho Sims is going to play significant minutes. He got benched last year when he was in the rotation

Trapping and playing with pace will be key. We gotta push the ball on offense. That will tire teams out, will use our defense to our offensive advantage, and will allow us to set our D after we score

This is actually absurd stats ngl

This! Tired of the surge of panic trade scenarios already. Let’s wait to see how it goes first FFS

I’m more concerned about depth. I think Precious will do just fine as a starter.

I’m not freaking out like most others but I checked yesterday IIRC the team was 8-18 when he started.

To be fair 1. he was starting to replace Randle, 2. it was before the OG trade, and 3. IIRC at least a couple of those games we were so depleted from injuries, we had to play Jacob Toppin and Charlie Brown actual minutes

All said, I think he’ll be fine. In fact I think his skillsets make him a better replacement at C than a replacement at PF as he did for Randle. With that in mind, I think it’s pretty irrelevant to look at his production as a backup 4 from last season.
