[Weiss] Jayson Tatum: “I talked to Joe [Mazzulla] a lot. Joe was probably the happiest person in the world that I didn’t win Finals MVP and I didn’t play in two of the games at the Olympics. That was odd. But if you know Joe, it makes sense.”

Dead internet theory but instead of bots it’s all just Joe on different accounts insulting Tatum to motivate him.

  2. Motivated Tatum after winning a chip is nice

  3. deets23_

That’s what every Celtics fan had been speculating all offseason lmao

  4. nicklovin508

Tatum hasn’t met the average r/nba non-Celtics fan

Joe Mazzulla is like the personification of the alpha wolf meme except dude might actually be an alpha wolf

“That was odd. But if you know Joe, it makes sense.” I’d bet this is said a lot in the celtics org.

  7. ithinkiknowball

Mazzulla is a self-professed “big spite guy” so not surprising at all lol

“Joe was probably the happiest person in the world that he got stuck behind a driver going 10mph under the speed limit and didn’t make it to his appointment. That was odd. But if you know Joe, it makes sense.”

Of course all the talk means little…it’s the on court play that matters, but after winning a chip, Tatum is coming into this season as hungry as ever if not even more so, and that’s a scary propsition for the league, and fascinating for fans, to see if he can take another step as a player.

Joe Mazzulla was probably keeping Nick Kerr in his cellar so Steve didn’t play Tatum

Joe Mazzulla let’s the air out of players’ tires and then blames it on other teams.

[Weiss] Jayson Tatum: “I talked to Kelvin [Benjamin] a lot. Kelvin was probably the happiest person in the world that I didn’t make it to the Golden Corral and I didn’t participate in two of the all-you-can-eat buffets. That was odd. But if you know Kelvin, it makes sense.

I hate the Celtics, but love Joe. Coaches need to be unhinged.

Joe openly prays for my downfall every day, he says it’s meant to motivate me!

I’m glad you didn’t win finals MVP so you’re hungry for it and want it even more.

There you go. That’s all you need from this tweet.

  16. Joe bet his playoff bonus on Brown winning Finals MVP over Tatum!

The chest pains this sub has to endure knowing that the dude they try to clown mercilessly is top 3 and it’s not close feeds my family and supplies extra sauce.

Joe Mazulla & David Goggins seem like the exact same person lol

I imagine it actually helps the chemistry for the jays, since jalen was going off on his non selection

    they’re both seeking vengeance

Joe: It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater!

  21. jtmackay

I think that says a lot about what he thinks of Tatum’s mindset. He doesn’t trust him to stay hungry.
