Until we make a trade this is a no brainer. This group is so talented offensively, it outweighs any defensive liability. At least enough to get the W
Now a nice trade or two would involve getting Wendell Carter jr, and maybe Brogdon then we can have a ton more versatility

It was Vanderbilt in the Starting 5 instead of Rui that made it to the WCF 2 years ago. I’d have Rui come off the bench to give a scoring punch and have Vanderbilt be assigned defensive duties for the toughest offensive player on the opposing team on most nights

I think Rui needs to be replaced with Vando. Weak 1 2 3 on defense with current starters. Need at least 1 dog out there

I fear they will still continually have good or great first halves and then bomb in the second. Maybe JJ will bring in more strategy and garner respect from the players, but my optimism is cautious.

In the right offsensive system this line up 1-5 could get some easy buckets and put up a lot of points. Defense might suffer yes but not too many starting 5s in the league can do both well.

This team is going nowhere. Not just starting 5 but this roster is po first rounder at best. Why didn’t they do any moves? It’ll be a hard season for sure.
