I’ll choose Nick Richard’s…. I don’t want to deal with Ainge..

Plus Charlotte could use a defensive minded PG to compliment the oft injured LaMelo.

  2. GoldenBoyRecords

I am not sure I would do any of those trades at least to start the season. They all seem like overpays imo.

That Isiah Stewart trade is fuckin awful. We give up Mitch, who is a better player when healthy, Deuce who is a better player on an amazing contract, and Detroits 1st? What the fuck is he thinking?

The only trade I like is the Kessler one but Ainge is the fuckin worst GM to deal with

Jericho Sims Precious Achiuwa and Ariel Hukporti

    Solved it for you.

Was super easy. Barely an inconvenience.

Deuce and Kolek should be enough to get us someone good if they can make salaries work. Teams like the Raptors,Pistons and Hornets will jump at them. But i seriously dont want to see Kolek go.

But if we want Richards, Hornets will be gunning for both of them because Melo is never healthy.

Don’t be surprised when Sims starts putting up iHart type numbers. They didn’t hire the big man whisperer for nothing.

The way sports writers consistently use the word “via” wrong is officially my pet peeve. The Knicks can’t trade a pick via Detroit, it implies the pick goes back through Detroit before it gets to the destination. Utah can, however, acquire the Detroit pick via New York. Via is used in conjunction with the route something takes, not where it originates from.

I-Stew is probably the best option, although no way in hell am I letting Deuce walk in that kind of deal. Nick Richards would be cool too, but I like Stew’s ability to space the floor and I think Detroit would be more willing to trade him given Duren’s already their main C.

i feel its better to not stress this until the season starts. most of our guys have recently signed restrictions on them and even if you wanna consider deuce expendable, i feel like theyre going to at least see how things go before pulling any triggers

Our three options are Jericho Sims, Precious Achiuwa, and Julius Randle.

These are all horrible trades overpays for the Knicks. McBride plus anything, especially another rotation player no matter how injured they are along with a pick for a backup is ridiculous. Maybe we’re over-valuing him but he’s a solid defender, a much improved shooter, and on super team friendly deal. It’s better to just platoon it with Sims, Achiuwa, Hukporti, and Randle and then see what comes by the trade deadline.

I don’t blame him for taking the money but damn I’m so mad ihart left. We would be perfect right now if he stayed

  13. Geep1778

I think we have a better chance of trading for either Jonas V. Or Clint Capela before any of those characters in the article

  14. Equivalent-Amount910

Kessler would be amazing but Ainge knows he can bend us over

We gonna have to get real fuckin’ creative

  15. DanUnbreakable

McBride won’t see time this year. He’s going to get the Grimes treatment

  16. HueyWasRight1

Sims is about to become the next Ben Wallace and shut down all you haters.

  17. goknicks23

Easiest position to fill, not worried at all. If we need to, we’ll trade a couple of seconds to a tanking team mid season for a back up.

Question- Do y’all think this FO is just starting to look for someone? They knew about Mitch probably for some time, plus the obvious gaping hole that ihart left.

There just isn’t anybody worth getting, or their price is too high (looking at your ugly face Ainge!)

I think we are going to just roll with what we’ve got and see how things go until the deadline. If that happens I would like to at least get somebody like Duren or Richards since they are young and Thibs can mold them into defensive beasts. I know iStewart is on the menu, but he does not move the needle for me personally

I know these trades are discussed around trading Deuce, I would shed a tear for losing him, but we need to do what is best for this team.

  19. VocationFumes

None of those dudes can shoot the three

how are any of them an upgrade over Sims/Precious?

  20. Professional-Way9343

I definitely think you go into the season and see how your new team works before making a panic trade for an average center

  21. BadassRPMofo

I have yet to see a proposed trade where the Knicks aren’t getting the short end of the stick.

  22. SloDown4What

Miles McBride should be the backup PG. I’m not sure why he’s always in trade rumors

  23. CaptainObvious1313

Can we stop with thinking we need to BEAT Jokic? You need to beat Denver. Jokic is gonna get his. Who has the better team? I’d honestly wait to make a trade till closer to the deadline, when things shake loose for less. It’s not like this team isn’t playoff bound with Precious at center. Just look at this roster, man!

  24. ObiOneKenobae

We have Precious, I’m not concerned.

  25. ObviousAnswerGuy

The Stewart trade is horrible (he’s not even a center ffs), Nick Richards is NOT good, and Ainge would never trade Kessler to us for that little of a return.

We have to be careful with who we get back because of tax implications (we are gonna need someone with a longer contract, or who is restricted, or else we won’t be able to re-sign them).

I think the best bet here is to be patient. We can manage 3 months with precious/sims.

  26. ObviousAnswerGuy

Precious gonna show out. Y’all will see.
