Literally the only thing he’s missing is being a consistent jump shooter. Some of that is shot selection, for sure, but I think most of it is just refining his jump shot. We know he can make tough shots, and for some reason, he really struggled to make them in the playoffs. It didn’t hurt the team, but we need the JT who can make tough jumpers in crunch time scenarios.

It’s always insane to remember since he’s been around for so long now, but the dude is 26 and very much in what is typically the “still getting better” phase of his career.

Yeah that’s the scary thing. He’s already this good and we can clearly see there are areas he needs to improve on. I like that he’s self aware, the league is screwed

Honestly I think a lot of the shooting inconsistency came from a combination his wrist injury, the muscle he put on, and self doubt. Now that he’s won a ring i think the mental pressure has lifted. Hopefully the wrist is healed he’s figured out how to use his strength to get better shots for himself. With KP out we will probably see him play the 5 more next year with Hauser taking a lot of the 3s they needed JT to take.
