A legend if you ever watched him in his prime. He was genuinely definitely different. More powerful than Russell Westbrook at the rim, crazy handles almost as good as Steph. It’s a shame what happened but happy I saw him play when I did

Since he got that Adidas contact in full he’s definitely retiring 🙁

What a joy it was to watch him play during those Thibs years. One of the absolute peaks of my Chicago sports fandom.

I never got to see prime Derrick Rose.

I did see him go against LeBron when the Bulls played the Cavs in Lebron second stint in Cleveland. Those games were amazing to watch.

I do hope that he will always be loved in Chicago and in NBA History as one of the best of his generation

Also I love the aesthetic of his home. It is contemporary vibe with retro aesthetic going with each other.

He is the player who got me into this sport. I will always love Drose and cherish the time I got to watch him play for the Bulls

    Legend of the game

Not sure if it was enough to be HOF worthy, but damn. What a career. From his legendary high school career at Simeon, to that incredible year at Memphis that cultivated in the Mario Chalmers shot in the title game, to his MVP run on the Bulls and playoff battles vs. LeBron and co, to his second resurgence with the Wolves, to providing me and my Knicks with a huge season in 2020-21.

Thank you D Rose. Glad I got to watch his career.

I think if you win MVP you deserve to be in the hall of fame. There’s only 36 in nba history and that alone to me personally puts you in the hall.

    He’s definitely retiring.

Anyone who watched him in his prime knows this dude is truly, truly an NBA legend and his career will go down as one of the great “what ifs” in NBA history. Will always have love for his game, one of the most exciting players in NBA history for his very brief peak

Speaking it into ecistence, he’s signing with OKC

i would’ve been floored if he could spell Renaissance

EDIT: Turns out I’m the dumb dumb and that’s actually a valid alternative spelling… I’ve literally never seen that lol

  11. That 50pt game as a Timberwolf is still a top 3 Wolves fan moment for me.

So glad he got to spend some time back in Memphis as a pro. I don’t think he realized how much people here still loved him, so it was cool to have him back for a little while and see how much he’s grown and matured over his career.

1000 bucks says that’s the name of his post retirement podcast that he’s announcing tomorrow

  16. Fearless-Fly2775

I wish I got to see prime D-Rose. I was like 4 or 5 when he tore his ACL so I only got to see what was a shell of what he was

  17. 12345_PIZZA

TIL renascence is a real word that means “the revival of something that has been dormant”

  18. WholeWideHeart

Must have hired Ryan Coogler to direct his retirement announcement

  19. PlayBey0nd87

Resign with the Bulls for his farewell season.
