Possibly the most elite hate watch season of all time. But jokes aside I felt pretty bad for him at this point, because like I KNOW he wanted to shut the crowd up and prove them wrong.
Not to mention the added psychological part of this. Your hometown begging you not to shoot. That had to sting. He wasn’t blameless but like damn

I miss that year lol
Lakers were on tv every other day, loved hate watchin russ and comin here to see the gifs of him hitttin the side of the back board. They gotta put him and playoff P on the same team again that shit was content

Both Russ and Ham seemed to take joy in saying how little each game mattered.
Breaking up the 2021 team was the stupidest basketball move of the 2000s.

I went to a Laker game that season and like a lot of games Westbrook wasn’t playing good and had some terrible shot selections. Westbrook went for a mid range shot and missed and a guy behind me screamed “44 million for this bullshit!!!” It was hilarious.

Honestly, the worst decision of Lebron’s entire career. What was he thinking inviting this dude to the Lakers? Durant ran away from him when he was on his prime.

Reminder that Drose ain’t making hall of fame but this dude will be first ballot.

Not a bad shot. He recognized he had Mitchell Robinson on him, thus Robinson isn’t going to be in the paint to help boxout/rebound or protect the rim against any putbacks.

It’s been an incredible time to be a NBA fan the past few years. We’ve seen some crazy shit.

Adam Silver please start the season already bruh

I was at this game. I felt so bad for Westbrook and his family, during this game. There was a collective groan whenever he had the ball in the halfcourt

That 2021-22 Lakers were… a team. That’s the best way to describe them.

This is funny but at the same time I think this is fucked up. If literally 20000+ people are groaning when you shoot there’s even less of a chance of a make. But at the same time bro takes awful shots

No one will ever know pain like Lakers fans did during the 2021-22 season

Brick fans LOVE to downplay how miserably bad he was for ANY sort of momentum throughout his stay with the Lakers. Listen there were other wrong things with that team/org/season, but he’s up there baby.

Russ’ career would be looked on so much more favorably if he stayed with the Wizards.

All I will say is – the moment the trade went through I was like ….”I wouldn’t make that trade in 2k. It’s a bad fit”.
My 2k knowledge was apparently more effect than the real knowledge of Lebron and lakers own ship.

MITwestbrook will be like “well statistically russ’s bricks leads to offensive rebounds meaning he made the correct play since AD was in position to get the board”
