Which seats? Ticket questions

Thinking of surprising my boyfriend with game tickets. His favorite players are on the visiting team. Which seats would be best -the Green Circle or Blue Circle?

Green circle is obviously closer to players but double the money, which I’m willing to spend, if it’s worth it. Is it worth it having the experience right behind the players? Is Green circle too much to the end of the court?

Or is Blue circle close enough to the players and maybe a better view?

Also, looking into the OKC VS Celtics game. WHY are those tickets not on sale until December 2nd when all the other games are on sale now? Is it best to buy resell tickets now or wait until til general tickets go on sale?

Also Hotel recommendations? (would like to walk to the stadium)
Restaurant recommendations? (if walking, great, but willing to uber to a nice restaurant).
Any other recommendations we should do while in OKC for the first time??

Thanks for any help.

  1. Blue. The green tickets are a bit awkward because it can be difficult to see over the bench.

  2. The courtside tickets will get you access to a free lounge and a not free bar. If you do go for the courtside seats, get to the game really early to enjoy the benefits. As for if you should buy more or wait. The cost of the tickets will fluctuate based on how good both teams are.
Most likely, all the courtside and close general admission seats will be bought by season ticket holders before they are released to the general public.

Green circle will be right behind the end of the bench that the star players usually go sit at when they come out of the game for a breather. They don’t have the best view of the court, but they do have the best ability to hear the players talking shit.

Most of the times I go, I have tickets like the blue ones but maybe 3-4 rows higher up.

One time, I had those exact same seats in green. I hated them. It wasn’t so much the players; but the staff. Trainers, coaches, and other staff are constantly walking and standing up behind the bench. Then you have an officer or two, and stadium personnel just hovering around that area.

If anything, I’d pick the aisle seats 6 rows above the blue circle in that foursome.

    Edit:

You have to do the Omni. And get the city view (for like $30-$50 extra) on a high floor. Your room window literally overlooks the arena. And it’s right across the street.

The Omni Hotel is next to Scissor Tail Park and across the street from the arena. It’s also within walking distance of the Botanical Garden, and two nice restaurants in Flint (has a variety of different foods), and Mahagony Prime Steakhouse. Flint is also attached to another nice hotel, the Colcord. As for other restaurants, I could suggest a variety of different places depending on your favorite cuisines. That being said, Cheever’s has a variety of different kinds of foods, I really liked their pasta when I went. It’s also in the Paseo area which is very walkable and has a ton of other places to eat. This area is about a 10 minute drive from the arena.

My girlfriend and I stay at the Skirvin when we come to town for games. Worst case scenario we overpay for drinks at the bar listening to the live music. But we love the vibe there.

Usually we walk down to the Gilded Acorn next morning for a cutesy bakery/coffee vibe.

Also there is a ton of restaurants just north of the Skirvin on Broadway, we like to hit up Hideaway for a pitcher and pizza, very basic but always slaps.
