A prospect I thought Spurs fans might want to keep an eye on, that they might not currently be aware of

Ben saraf Is the best guard prospect in this draft not currently viewed as a guaranteed top 10 pick. He has some of the same qualities that make Harper such an intriguing potential fit with the Spurs

He’s a jumbo Playmaker with great positional size who can probably shift up and down a roster across three positions

His decision making and offensive awareness is sensational for an 18-year-old. I think he’s one of the best passers in this entire draft class. He is not quite the athlete that fellow jumbo point guards traore and Harper are But I wouldn’t call him unathletic. He’s very crafty and patient at getting to his spots

The jumpshot has some questions that need to be answered

Defensively I actually like him. He has very good anticipation when playing the passing Lanes and is pretty disruptive as a man-to-man defender. Probably never be anything super special on that end as a whole as I just don’t think he has the mobility, but he’s not some defensive sieve either

He’s been extremely productive at a very high level for quite a while now. The kid has the potential to be a star imo And doesn’t have the name recognition of some of the other top guard prospects in this class, meaning as long as he doesn’t go supernova this year, he could be someone the Spurs could Have the ability to select even if they end up outside the top 10
