The Truth Behind the Giannis and Lillard Connection!

The Truth Behind the Giannis and Lillard Connection!

Following the Milwaukee Bucks’ blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard last offseason, it took the NBA media all of about 30 seconds to declare Giannis Antetokounmpo and his new NBA 75th Anniversary Team running mate the best duo in the league. However, what everyone failed to consider, was the fact that Giannis and Dame only had about a week of training camp to try and find their chemistry before the grueling 82-game season. Long story short, the two did not find their chemistry out of the gate. Going through 3 different head coaches throughout last season certainly didn’t help either. But now that the pairing has found stability under Head Coach Doc Rivers, they began to click towards the tail end of last season before Giannis’ injury. So the only question heading into the 2024-25 season is can Giannis and Dame rekindle some of that chemistry they had before the playoffs? And can they really live up to the hype as the best duo in the NBA?

  1. Great video, well structured and informative
Thank you for the amazing break down, looking forward for the next video

  2. I hope Dame and Giannis built up some chemistry during the off season. I was trying to follow both of them through out the summer, but neither of them really posted about each other at all. Kinda makes me think they been working together in silence to come out with a bang this coming season.

  3. Even with all of these issues, the Dame / Giannis pnr was still an effective move against most defenses. There's a ton of low hanging fruit that can be grabbed to make it probably the most effective move in the NBA: better screens from Giannis, Dame looking to pass to Giannis more, etc. all things you point out. I have a lot of confidence they'll figure it out.

I think they may break the record for team mates with the most 30/10 games in a game. That last Clippers game is something they can do to most teams in the NBA.

  4. As a Lakers fan sad to see Prince walk, this was a great video. Bucks should be much better next season with Dame getting into his groove and Giannis continuing to put up the best numbers in his career. Look forward to seeing it

  5. Shouldnt have traded jrue… he literally made the team great. He'll never be a "A list" player but he is lowkey the most valuable on every team he's on
