  1. This is not the news I wanted to hear this morning. I’m from Waukegan so my family made me a Bulls fan. I liked to play basketball and I knew Jordan was the GOAT but D Rose is the player that made me watch the NBA in 2008-2009. Thank you Pooh for all the great memories and you deserve to be in the HOF

  2. My favorite Derrick Rose moment is the 2011 All-Star game when LeBron James and Dwight Howard were dancing in Derrick. Rose was just looking at them goofy. AKME needs to sign him to a 1 day contract.

  3. If Derrick rules didn’t tear his ACL, the Bulls would’ve stopped LeBron from making 8 straight finals, we would’ve won the championship in 2014 and 2015

  4. Joakim, number 13 definitely needs to be retired? besides Michael Jordan, he is the only player to win defensive player of the year for Chicago. He was number four in MVP voting in 2014 Rose was out. It won’t hurt to retire the two biggest players in Chicago Bulls history post Jordan. I’ll even retire Luol Deng number 9 but that’s just me.

  5. 5:36 Whether or not Derrick Rose goes to the Naismith B-Ball HOF is a good question. Another good question would be – Is Derrick Rose the 2nd or 3rd greatest Chicago Bulls basketball player ever? Derrick Rose is only the 2nd Bulls player to win the NBA Michael Jordan Regular Season MVP, and he beat a prime LeBron James and a then old Kobe Bryant to hoist up the Michael Jordan League MVP that year. However, should Derrick Rose rank above the 2nd most valuable player on ALL 6 of the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls World Championship teams, which means that Derrick Rose has 0 World Championships with 0 trips to the NBA Finals versus Scottie Pippen who has 6 NBA World Championships plus Pippen is also undefeated in the NBA Finals without ever seeing a Game 7 in the Finals, and he helped to build one of the few NBA Dynasties in league history (thanks in large part to The GOAT, Michael Jordan, of course). Rose averaged only about one point more than Pippen. As far as the Hall of Fame goes, I would say that if Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill entered the hall, then Derrick Rose should go in, but if not, then no Hall of Fame for Derrick Rose. However…..I believe that winning even ONE NBA Michael Jordan League MVP is an automatic invitation into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, so yes Derrick Rose is a future hall-of-famer and he may enter in 2029 or 2030.

  6. We should retire D Rose number 1. He was undoubtedly the greatest bulls point guard.

  7. He was a beast. I remember when he said why can't I be MVP?. Why not me? And then won the damn thing. As for the haters. He made Kyrie Irving John Wall westbrook Steph Curry all them look like nothing and he was so fast he made them look like slow motion. All these pgs they claim are good he made them look bad. And his bag for around the rim moves was amazing. Seemed like there wasn't an angle he couldn't make a layup the English he would put on the ball was awesome. I still got the autograph picture of him dunking on the suns. He was great . Congrats to him and now he can enjoy retirement and his family.

  8. He made Chicago bulls basketball exciting again. He had that mj effect on the city but more. He was the city. BULLS NEED TO SIGN HIM AND RETIRE AS A BULL.
