I see a lot of NBA youtubers like this guy hyping okc like they signed a phenomenal superstar. Meanwhile the 64 win team THE DEFENDING CHAMPS will defend their title with the same proven players that won last year is second only to OKC. Recency bias was hell of a dr*g. I am an OKC fan, and I don't know if they are going to win it all or even make the Finals. That is very hard for any team to do. But they gave Dallas all they wanted in the playoffs last season and the Mavs got to the Finals. OKC's main weakness was that Giddey did not fit, and they replaced him with one of the best two-way role players in the league in Caruso. Their other issue was a lack of size against certain teams (which hurt them against Dallas too) and they added Hartenstein to address that, and he is also a very good two-way player. I don't think that there is a deeper team in the league currently (Boston is the closest), and they are so young that you would expect someone to make leap this year, whether it's Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace or someone else. Obviously SGA is the engine, and I think most people would agree that he is a top 5 player in the world at this point.

Is this about who will win the title? Or who will win the most games? If it's games? Then yes, it's OKC. But in the playoffs they will be easier to defend because they will become a 1v1 team without giddys passing gene. Even though they couldn't play him, they were unselfish. I think that changes.
