[Krawczynski] The word from the Towns camp is this: “Stunned.” Nine years with the Wolves. Impeccable in the community. All-Star and All-NBA. Now a New York Knick.

I don’t know why Minnesota did this.

  2. Biglundtry

Poor guy was probably streaming and someone ran into the room to break the news

  3. slamdunk23

Blame the wolves for trading for Rudy and his supermax contract for being forced to dump KAT for cheap

  4. Rapey_Keebler_Elves

I honestly feel like throwing up right now.

I haven’t been this upset by a swap since my wife swapped me for our next door neighbor.

  5. Batman_in_hiding

This is gonna end in disaster. Basically took two super exciting up and coming young teams with amazing chemistry and took a hammer to them.

  6. CeeDoggyy

How can someone build a team good enough to make the WCF and knock off the defending NBA champions, and think Julius Randle is the guy to push them over the top? Like hello???

  7. Shingorillaz

I mean I’m sad because he’s been a coner stone and he seems to have wanted to stay, but they didn’t send him into the basement he’s being sent to a legitimate contender.

  8. MAMBAMENTALITY8-24

reverse the trade, this aint right

  9. Beard341

If Timberwolves shit the bed next season and Randle is anything but a stellar player, I expect the fanbase to absolute go *in* on him.

As a pelicans fan, this is my reaction: why?

Timberwolves is my second favorite team, Ant is my second favorite player

I was rooting for them throughout the playoffs. I wanted to see them make it to the finals

I wanted to see this team succeed, with KAT and Ant. Disappointed

I don’t like this and don’t understand the trade, unless it’s all about saving money. Seems like a Glen Taylor type thing if so, wish the new ownership had been installed already.

We’re all stunned tbh. Like, wtf? Training camp is right around the corner, vibes were immaculate for the Knicks (not sure for the Wolves), and we were all ready to go for it with what we had. If a change was needed, the Knicks still had assets to make tweaks. Then this happens.

I feel the Knicks lose more than they gained. Key thing that was lost was the depth. KAT is a good player and all but I wouldn’t say he’s better than both Randle *and* DDV. Also KAT and Thibs didn’t work out in MIN before so idk how that works now too.

I don’t get this for Minny either. KAT gives them spacing which they desperately need if they’re playing ANT and Gobert. The pessimistic way to view this for them is that ownership is cheaping out. DDV is on a steal of a contract for a 40% 3pt shooter while also making the 3rd most 3s this season. Randle’s contract is also up after next season.

At some point, nba players will adopt the nhl way of thinking and only sign no move clauses

  14. Lower-Letter-4710

This might make Ants’ portion of the Netflic doc a bit awkward at times

  15. aw11348

This is one of the more confusing blockbuster trades I’ve ever been witness to. Literally no one knows what to think. You’ve got distraught Minny fans, distraught Knicks fans, everyone else scratching their heads

  16. NewlyOld31

ANT going to hate watching Julius randles bum ass take 13 dribbles and pull a step back 3 and either airball or clank that bitch 4 times a game

  17. MinesweeperGang

Actually such a crazy and just completely out of nowhere trade. Wow.

Has there ever been a bigger trade than this to happen out of literally nowhere? No rumours, nothing. KAT must feel so betrayed too.

  18. alphalobster200

has to be rough for Karl. unproblematic star for Minny in their flaming dumpster era and as soon as the T’Pups get good and he plays a pivotal role in defeating the defending champs en route to the WCF, they New Phone Who Dis
his ass for salary purposes. the NBA is a cold business.

  19. macmoretti

Let’s remember this when the “loyalty to the team and city” conversations starts about the next player that wants out. To management these guys are assets, plain and simple.

  20. VTuberFadeaway

he’s not the only one. the fanbase and the team completely blindsided tby the trade.

  21. FM-1984

I can’t stand him as an NBA player. Not a hater just not a fan. Played against him in High School cause his school was down the road from mine. It was a freakin nightmare. Never played against anybody that good since and probably never will lol. Hope he does good as a Knick!

  22. ObviousAnswerGuy

I love how both fanbases here are furious with their respective FO’s lol. Dumb trade for BOTH teams.
