Towns and Gobert was never going to work..and that team only made the WCF because of Edwards' rise to stardom and Naz Reid's emergence.

I hate this trade as a wolves fan. I had to endure the whole year of the talking heads bad mouthing KAT and acting like he was weak or trash but we in Minny who actually watch them, know he was a good fit, I think they could have turned the corner with him and he finally had a team he was bonded with. I hope it works out for both teams. I hope they have more moves like moving Rudy but I cant imagine anyone wants Rudy lol. Ugh.
First time now a subscriber I wholeheartedly agree with your initial take on the trade. The big question is how long will it take to blend in from training camp to the Boston Celtic opener. I am truly excited about this season and didn’t want the Randle situation to possibly see us GET nothing for him
Now we address our 5 problem n do it with an All star who CAN shoot FREE THROWS!! We have as u pointed out a more Natural starting 5 for the next 3 years

Id rather give up a million draft picks and deuce than to get rid of Divo. That man dropped 40 in a game 7 where Brunson shit the bed. He hit that game winner vs philly. Randle so trash we had to give up donte smh

KAT is not made for this. classic good on paper chemistry killing trade. as much hate as randle gets. i dont think this was the right trade. but if i have learned one thing in the last years as a knicks fan. we gotta "let leon cook".

Bridges is a great at the poa defense and a good basketball player. He is also skinny and won‘t bully anybody
In a 82 games season there are nights when players are not up for intense physical competition. You can win games like that and the Knicks did !!
The dedication to play hard every night and battle in the paint was a massive factor why the Knicks had success.

Sure, it looks good in theory and i get the strategic aspects. Fine, but basketball is about competition before everything else and the Knicks lost a lot of what made them strong
Nobpdy is scared to play KAT and defend the 3pt shot. That does not hurt !
When KAT is out there shooting, he won‘t battle on the boards. OG is a wing abd he is not weak, but he is not a power forward that uses strength and physicality.
It s a much more pleasant game of basketball against the Knicks. … it s much less of what makes Thibs great.

They got different and have more spacing. The upgrades in certain aspects have to bigger than the loss in other aspects.

KAT is one of the worst contracts in the NBA imo.
He was never a real tough guy and he is too clumsy to be a real star caliber player imo.
This move seeks to unleash Naz Reid. Imagine a frontcourt of Naz Reid and Julius Randle, while Gobert sits. If you place Ant and DiVincenzo with them, this can cause a lot of trouble.
I wouldn't be surprise if Randle becomes the 6th man and Naz starts at 4.
