I think Castle has to get the nod because Pop isn't going to want to ruin his backup 5 chemistry for a few games without Devin. So if Keldon or Tre can't replace Devin, and we're not going to give that to Malaki or Champagnie, the only logical guy is Castle, who can be the SG right now and the SG in the backup five when Devin is back. I also think we want to see what he has and games in the beginning of the season are the best games to not worry about
Oh know not again…reminds me of dereck Anderson or Willie Anderson…very good player but could never be healthy…if he gets injured where he misses 20 or 30 games God forbid…gonna have to start making measures to trade the guy and get something for him…
Welcome back, Rich! I'm not too worried just yet about Vassell as a chronic injury risk. It's not like he reinjured himslef, but just following doctor's orders to heal from his surgery in April. I'm trusting he will be fine, but will need some time to get back into game shape. I would be OK with starting Castle or KJ. I want Keldon to have a chance to show if he can play better defense and fit into an offensive scheme now that he has slimmed down. But I also want Castle to get the chance to play as a rookie starter, even if at the 2 spot, because he will grow so much faster.
