For what it’s worth, he said this before the big trade.
That being said, they’re window is up against some stiff competition for the next few years and the Knicks aren’t a franchise known for long term building.
They’re closer to those franchises that put prices on together for quick success and fail short, and reset three years later.
They’re looking better though in that aspect, can’t lie.

We as fans need to stop underestimating our conference rivals, many of who have all gotten better over the offseason. Obviously we should expect to win but the amount of people saying the Knicks and Sixers don’t have a chance is so mindless. Upsets happen every year in basketball. Never underestimate your competition. That’s how the Heats managed to get a few series off of us
