These could be a win-win, win-lose, or lose-lose situation for both teams. Really interested to see how this plays out, coming from 2 teams who were already finals contenders before.

As a Wolves fan, I'm heartbroken.
Iām not loving this deal over here but mayb this is about adding more value to the Knicks period. If Towns doesnāt work out he can be traded for another top guy on a top salary if he doesnāt work out. But in the interim Iām going to miss Donteās shooting and especially after he broke out last year. And I feel bad for JR being sent to die in god awful Minnesota
Iām heartbroken. Been a wolves fan since kg but he never had the help he needed. We finally had a contending team. Ant made kat so much better and everything was starting to gel. One year and itās taken away.

i have no horse in this race, but this was a terrible trade for both teams. somehow depth, flexibility, and fit seems worse for both teams
naw donte and naz reid off the bench is some rlly rlly solid shooting so if finch can mix and match and finds what works still think the twolves can make a lot of noise
For the knicks, this trade makes sense. They needed a centre and they got one of the best in the league for a very good role player and a guy who has practically no trade value rn (also I like KATs defensive upside more than randleās on the knicks). On the other handā¦ wtf are the t-wolves doing! š
trading for Rudy Gobert was the biggest mistake
I still donāt believe this happenedš. Ima just wait til the season starts and see KAT in a Knick jersey to believe this
Hot take, but I would start Naz Reid at the 4 and have Randle 6th man gunning the second unit. Donte can stretch the floor extremely well when Randle commands more gravity when he's going to the hole.
Got to move cats around or your employee staff gets comfortable and complacent.

I can tell a lot of people in these comments donāt actually watch the games. This is perfect for ny. Excluding Donte but some of our starters will play with the bench so we will be good
I like this trade 90% for the Knicks the other 10 I donāt like is losing donte but they still have depth. Once Robison comes back you bring hart off the bench, but for the wolves I donāt like this at all, sure you bolster your depth with donte but idk about randle. His gonna give you 22-24 but he aināt playing no defense and heās gonna take the ball out of ants hands a little bit. I donāt think that duo is gonna work. Thatās the biggest part no one is talking about, with randle your whole defense changes literally, kat can guard on the perimeter and in the paint, he can play the 4 and 5. Randle has never been a defensive player cuz he canāt play defensešš. Gobert gone have to clean up for him A LOT. I honestly donāt think they gone keep randle, they might flip him.
Enjoy having Townsydrome, New York. I'm looking forward to celebrities imitating the stupid looks that he makes after dumb fouls… Chris Rock and Spike Lee will be naturals. Randle will come off the bench. Naz Ried will be moved up for his athleticism.
Knicks got worst. This is a downgrade not an upgrade. This is a terrible trade Randall for KAT. KAT is soft, soft soft like baby doodoo and will be destroyed by Joel Embiid. š³ššš¤£š¤£š¤£ Randall was tough could score and played injured and hurt.

Good for Knicks, weird for Twolves. AE is gonna end up shooting more 3s with the now crowded key on the offensive side.
Chemistry is such an underrated aspect in basketball.. The knicks traded away chemistry for talent.. I am not believing the, "donte didn't like the nova things according to sources" thing. That is complete BS.
This to me as of September 28th,2024 seems and feels like a lose lose trade. We will see.

I think this is Minnesotaās way of saying this is officially the Anthony Edwards show, but unless he really does become the second coming of MJ wins mvp or at least has an mvp season this is best case scenario bounced in the WCF worst case 1st round exit in 4-5 games
