Karl Anthony Towns is now a New York Knicks. In a deal with the Wolves the New York Knicks sent Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl Anthony Towns and a first round pick from the Detroit Pistons. If you told me yesterday morning that the Minnesota Timberwolves were going to help the Knicks compete for a title by trading them KAT for Julius Randle and Donte Divicenzo, I would have searched you for a crack pipe, when apparently I should have been searching the offices of the Timberwolves management.
Knicks and 76ers going to have some tense meeting this year.
No mention of losing Dante, he was a solid contributor.
Brunson and Kat pick and role could be the modern day equivalent of the Steph-Kd pick and roll.
They getting rid of their depth to boost the line up when apparently they got eliminated last season bc of the lack of depth and injuries 😂

KAT just became the softest, most entitled guy in N.Y. Enjoy Townsydrome… I won't miss the faces he makes while complaining to refs after terrible plays. The hole he created on defense. He stuck around MN like a champ. Winter sucks here… His play and lack thereof didn't make it easier, though…

I agree and hope coach Thib's pull's out some old Stockton and Malone tapes – if Brunson and Towns get that pick and roll going for them look the F out and Celtics don't have Jordan on their team the only dude that could stop that. It's a win-win for both teams, not because we got KAT, but mostly that we got rid of Randle! Wolves are going to LOVE DiVincenzo!
Win win trade for both teams. KAT comes home and fixes the centre void and improves us and Wolves get rid of that salary and get more depth. As long as KAT stays healthy the Knicks will be pushing the Celtics for the East. Sucks we had to give up Donte in the deal but you gotta give up something to get something. Worry about our bench strength but that starting 5 is legit.
