A star? I'm sorry, Ant is the starting 2. This is likely Conley's last year as a starting PG. They just drafted Dillingham to learn from Conley and hopefully replace him. Naz is still the 6th man. I don't see how people are saying Randle will come off the bench when he's a 3 time all star? So that makes Dante like the 7th or 8th man in the rotation. NAW is honestly almost as good as Dante. So how is Dante supposed to become a "star" when he will play 20 minutes or less per game?
Donte will be great in finchy scheme, dont forget we turned NAW from being below average to being a key part of our run last year, he was keeping us in games with his 3 alone, Donte will thrive in that roll this year
He along with Naz will be key pieces in the rotation. He will take Slow-mo’s place except he can shoot the 3. Both him and Naz over 40%. Without KAT will be much more floor spacing. KAT will be a monster with the pick and roll in NY.

There’s about 90 plus players in the league better than him along with younger guys who will end up better than him. He’s a good role player. A star? That’s ridiculous. 🤣
I don't see where he's getting minutes on the timberwolves squad playing the same position as Antman and NAW. He's going to be a situational piece. I'm not doubting his talent but come on, Minnesota is guard heavy as it is at the 2. Maybe he can play the point but he's better as the 2 guard from everything I've seen. Anthony Edwards already experimented playing the point and it wasn't the prettiest. Having both of them on the court would be great but with no true point in their offense, it creates a lot of issues as seen when Conley wasn't on the floor. Dudes a baller but Minnesota isn't his long term destination.
It's funny bc it looks like he's only getting like 15-20 min a game, same as he would with the Knicks. A nice rotation piece, can give you a 25 pt game here and there but not a star. 3s occasional drive to the rim and improving perimeter D. From a Knicks fan that's what Min is getting.
This guy is exactly what we were missing in the Western Conference Finals … the consistent scoring will complement Edwards beautifully. GREAT addition to the Wolves!
