There are no words that suffice to say about how gigantic of a home run was the Lively pick. Very intelligent, amazing rebounder, good positioning, might not be the strongest C in the league but he has the body strength to at least contest boards. Even if Lively doesn’t develop a single bit anymore, he is still an above average C that became a really good screen-setter, can survive in the perimeter and is a menace on the inside.
Yet, as we always need to remember, a loud minority here always says that the draft is useless and we need to trade every possible pick for veterans because “something something Luka will demand a trade”. Instead, the draft might have been what officially opened Luka’s championship window here.
