The last time I watched Butler actually play the Wolves was last year in Miami. The play I remember was KAT shoulder checking Jimmy after trying to pump fake a shot, Jimmy flopped arms going everywhere, and KAT hit the shot in his face to push the lead to 3.
Jimmy will always be hated by Wolves fans. He didn’t even try to make things work in Minnesota. And when he forced his way out Thibs was POBO at the time traded him for Robert Covington and Dario Saric. A freaking 4 time all star for 2 role players, not even picks. That move set back the Wolves so bad, it wasn’t until they drafted Ant 3 years later, that there seemed to be actual hope. A lot of people complained that KAT wasn’t living up to his potential. “He should have carried those teams to at least the 8th seed with his talent.” With mother f’n starters like Jarrett Culver, Josh Okogie, and Shabazz Napier??? think KAT definitely could be better. But the shitty situation he grew up in that sad sack of crap organization the Wolves are. Someone like Lebron would have a hard time turning that franchise around. KAT has played under 4 different head coaches, the POBO has changed 5 times, and the constant roster changes in his 9 year stint in Minnesota, good Lord. I could go on and on with Wolves shit. I followed the team very closely since they drafted KAT. If you haven’t guessed it, KAT is my favorite player. I think him and Brunson are going to tear it up in NYK. I hope y’all give him a chance.
