I’ve always liked him. Once a Rocket, always a Rocket. Rest in peace legend.

So unexpected, at least to me. Still so young. RIP

    Damn…this really surprised me.

what a fuckingg bolt from the blue. RIP to a great human being. If most sportsmen were as focused on charity and doing good as Deke post playing career, the world would be a much better place.

  5. Damn this is heartbreaking. Only 58. RIP, Legend.

This one shocked me. Class act and I was hoping the team he was apart of years back was able to purchase the Rockets. Im bummed his career ended with that leg injury and he couldnt walk off the court. The finger wag was iconic but the way he carried himself on and off the court was legendary. RIP Dikembe.

I’m so sad. Mutombo gave me such happy childhood memories. I loved his time with our team. RIP ):

Rest in peace cookie monster, you brought us so much joy.

He deserved an honorary 1994 championship ring. The Rockets were not beating the Sonics in the playoffs that year

Caught me off guard today.. Legend of the game.

Those years where he was a Rocket were very special to me. He was part of the reason why I became a fan of not just the Rockets but the NBA in general. Thank you legend. RIP

He was an amazing person. I met him a couple times when I was going to the Lexus lounge. He was a great human. RIP Mutombo and FUCK CANCER

I can’t believe it… what an absolute legend. He was the absolute example of the depths of human empathy and kindness. Ugh.

Time to hang #5️⃣5️⃣ up soon. He wasn’t his Denver or Atlanta self, but he made good memories in the 2000s as a Houston Rocket. So long ☝🏿☝🏿☝🏿

He was always one of my favorites. Anytime I see a finger wag I think of him.

  19. JaTari_Wemba

Didnt even know he was suffering from brain cancer. Very sad.

I loved him as a Rocket. He came up clutch and was reliable again and again until he blew out his knee in the playoffs.

    RIP.
