This dude will be a bust !!! I use to like him but his ego is better than his ability !!! He wonā€™t average 15 a game with Dallas

  2. MushroomFlat

Now he can blame their fans for him turning into Delonte West

  3. SuddenlyThirsty

It is what it is. You canā€™t pay and keep everyone.

  4. comalicious

A touch psychotic. I wish all the best for my dawg and I will root for him to succeed in Dallas. It really ain’t that deep. He wanted this.

  5. UseCapital164

Thanks for everything Klay, but your smugness is off putting.

  6. beanakajulian33

I will miss the zero points he gave us in an elimination game

I hope for the best for him. Maybe this will be a better time for him and his career. Always thankful I got to see him play as a Warrior. šŸ’™šŸ’›šŸ€

Is this your first time seeing him in a Dallas jersey or was there something in particular about this pic that makes it different from the other ones in a Dallas jersey?

  9. Nessmuk58

Most dangerous shooter in Dallas since Lee Harvey Oswald.

Hurts my heart. But, I’m happy for him. It’s a good fit.

    Hope heā€™s happy because Iā€™m not šŸ˜”

  12. Listening to Kiddā€™s and the Mavsā€™ players interviews today (especially Kyrie, Luka, Dwight Powell, and Lively), Iā€™m genuinely happy for Klay. It sucks in the absolute worst way possible for us, but you can already tell the Mavs are gonna be so good for Klay and vice versa. The lens through which they view him is so noticeably different in that they donā€™t see him as someone they feel compelled to accommodate because of everything heā€™s done for them, almost as if itā€™s a burden (one he was clearly made to feel the last year especially), and instead center and focus on what he *can* do for them and how they can help and be good for each other.

    Hereā€™s Kidd:

    > ā€œFrom past experiences, after being with a team for a long time, it takes a little time because there are different names, different people, but with Klay here just watching him of late, heā€™s ready to go. Weā€™re very lucky to have him on our side. I think he feels at home and heā€™s excited about this new chapter in his career.
    >
    > …
    >
    > Every time he lets it go, it looks like itā€™s going in and if he does miss one, it just adds to the percentage of will he make the next one and we havenā€™t had that here for a while. Weā€™ve had shooters, but we havenā€™t had a Jason Terry or Klay Thompson. Youā€™re talking about rare air here when it comes to shooting. When you talk about Klay, heā€™s one of the best shooters of all time.
    >
    > So we are very lucky to have him on our side. It just makes the game offensively easier. Spacing is a big thing in this league, and he creates that gravity. Gaff and D-Live and the guys setting the screens for him will definitely be getting him a Christmas gift, because the game will become easier for them. And so when you look at the teams that can make the game easy – Boston, ourselves – those are the ones that can win championships.ā€

And then this from Kyrie on what it meant adding Klay and how/why it was ā€œeasyā€ to convince Klay. The bold part stood out to me in that I think it hints at the way Warriors media can chew you up and spit you out, and when it came to Klay last season they really did nothing to help him and just kind of stood by and let it happen even when it was clearly eating away at his psyche (same happened with Poole to an extent). So it sounds like the Mavs apply a bit more of a safeguard between their players and the media, which will be huge.

    > ā€œIt was easy to ā€˜convinceā€™ Klay to come here because of what Iā€™ve experienced so far in the past year and a half of just being welcomed and embraced. And I donā€™t mean that to be cliche, I mean that truthfully. Here in the south, in Dallas, the southern hospitality is real. **This team does a great job of protecting you, not just on the court but off the court.** They go out of their way to make sure you feel special.
    >
    > Again, I donā€™t mean to be cliche, but not every NBA team is the same. I think (me) being here in Dallas gave (Klay) an outsiderā€™s view of just what it could be like for him. So Iā€™m excited that he decided to come here, Iā€™m excited that he decided to commit to us for the next few years. I feel like our dreams can be possible because heā€™s here now,ā€ Irving said of Thompsonā€™s importance. ā€œHeā€™s added great value to our championship aspirations.ā€

It’s ngl even Klay Thompson, It’s Clay NowšŸ˜šŸ˜

  14. HorchataCouple

Klay looks like he bought that jersey off Temu and he thinks he’s shutting down the pick up league next SundayĀ

  15. PayterLobo

Everytime I see him I’m like “fuck you!!!……I miss you…but fuck you!….but I wish you the best šŸ„ŗ”

  16. kerabatsos

Need a larger image so we can see the giant bags of ice attached to his knees.

  17. Spaghettiisgoddog

    I love Klay. Heā€™s a champ.Ā
But he suddenly looks like a loser wearing that uniform šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøĀ

  18. MegaJ0NATR0N

He was my favorite Warrior but now he is just like any other opposing player

  19. BobcatRoyal1782

My gut tells me Klay’s gonna get a wake up call this year. He thought the organization was holding him back, but little did he know the Warriors were the only team in the league who would have given him such a long leash.

  20. I’m glad to see him gone, yall need to stop being so emotional. I wanna win championships, fuck all the attachment issues. I wouldnt care if we got rid of Curry, Draymond, and Wiggins either. We need a whole new team but now it’s inevitable that we end up like the SF Giants did, having a hot streak and then being terrible for 10 years.

I hate this and it hurts a ton.

But y’all wanted him off the team. Congrats. You won.
