  1. Well we needed a center and we got a center. If we keep Mitch we have the ability to play big or really big, losing Donte hurts but it’s just more minutes for deuce . Gotta say great job by the front office.

  2. Poor Rich, he's going to be so disappointed when Towns showcases how overrated he is. And poor Thibs is likely flabbergasted at this move.

  3. This was a Panick move… they've been so patient and now they just blew it. Kat had a better chance to win the ring with Timberwolves, wonder how he's feeling right now. We won't have a bench. They going to play hard, play too many minutes, and get injured. The cycle begins.

  4. I remember back in the day the knicks had a successful run going and off the back of that momentum the traded away all those “role players” for a star in Carmelo. A trade that amounted to zero actual success when compared to the previous roster. So, i see the Knicks basically repeating history here

  5. People saying Kat is inconsistent. Julius was by far the most inconsistent player on the Knicks. His shooting percentage always dropped in the playoffs and he threw temper tantrums when he didn’t get his way.

  6. Rich is just the best. I love his riffs, so spot on and hits home. He's right… it was embarrassing to be a Knicks fan before Julius led us out of obscurity. We wouldn't be where we are today without him even if it was time for change. This is Brunsons team but it wouldn't look like it does today without JRs input. Give him his flowers he's earned it

  7. They had to do this because they had no center. But Towns is good, he’s not great. Randle was a duplication of what they had. Losing DiVincenzo will hurt.

  8. The guy at the end saying Randle was the heart and the toughness of the team. LOL Randle didn't even play in the playoffs and is historically one of the worst playoff performers in the history of the NBA.

  9. When Kat scores 10 in the playoffs or goes up against his kryptonite Embiid, keep this same energy 😂

  10. We all know kyrie was just scared of the real New York team and one of the biggest brands and stages … i wanna say same with KD but i think it was kyries idea to go to the no fan nets…. Imagine the mistake that was lol it’s not even close to the same like its such a drastic difference, words dont even do it justice… thank god that never planned out tho cause the knicks got the perfect team

  11. Spoken like a true casual fan 😂😂😂 real Knicks fan hated Julius for the majority

  12. This is not true Randle came for the money got lucky became the best on the team but he was far from a fan favorite. Jalen Brunson brought fever to the knicks

  13. Randle was not a “star” before New York tho…. I keep hearing people say oh randle came when no one else wanted to lol not players right below a star level or role players…. That was the problem the knicks always got those players over stars… so I’ll never understand why ppl keep saying that…. Randle turned into a star with the knicks…. Big difference… it’s like a couple ppl say that and everyone else followed like a domino effect…

but yes the knicks changed the culture when randle came but lets not forget thats when coach thibs and Leon came and i would say thats more of a thibs effect and u clearly see now… same with Leon

  14. I grew up in nyc. Sorry the knicks and their fans are just as bad as the Dallas Cowboys. Every year is their year. Every big time star is considering signing with the knicks. They garner a lot of media attention with no title wins to account for it.

  15. Finally someone who understands the magnitude of this trade. This is huge, Brunson is the go to scorer when we need a bucket, KAT and Mikal are the other go to options and OG is our sleeping silent detonating scorer. Options options and more options with floor spacing no more double teaming.

  16. Lets not overanalyze this. The Knicks needed a center and got the best one available by giving up players they could afford to lose. They are a better team after this.

  17. The Knicks were better than all these teams before the KAT trade
The Knicks would have beat the Celtics last season if they were healthy.

  18. I don't get the love affair with Randle. I mean I get that he came here when most other star players didn't want to, but we were talking about greats like Durant and Kyrie. Julius wasn't exactly on their level at the time and still isn't. During his 5 years here, he was horrendous in the playoffs. He has one of the lowest FG%'s in NBA playoff history. He threw tantrums on the court, argued with his teammates, slapped a coach's laptop out of his hands during a timeout, was lazy on defense more often than not, held the ball for far too long, and gave us all the finger. I'm not saying he's a bad guy and NY pressure can get to the majority of athletes out there, but Knicks fans fall so in love with players that really haven't done much for us in the long run. I'm more upset about losing Donte than Randle. Julius was walking after this season anyway. It's not like we were going to pay him close to $50 mil per year. He was gone and we ended up getting Kat for him instead of nothing.

  19. Its crazy I don't see any coverage on this trade from stations like ESPN but they definitely have coverage on Lebron tho
