Knick fan here, if Randle can accept a role where he’s more of a facilitator and less of a iso scorer he’ll be very effective. He has many flaws but one thing he’s excellent at is drawing double teams and finding the open man. Surround him with shooters and you’ll get a ton of open shots
I understand that talent is important to fans but us fanatics temperament and effort is what I feel the new additions bring and yes they might not be as good talent wise but toughness is going to be there in my opinion
Holy shit bro you can’t even say the good stuff without couching it. Vegas odds to win the title improved post trade. Hollingers model said it was worth 3games. Kats fine but he was not in the top five in three man lineup combos, has lead the league in offensive fouls each of the last four years and even tho he shoots well, he never did it enough to matter that much. Say nothing about contract differences, naz minutes increase and adding dd to a shallow bench.

I’m just gonna say it cause so many people talking bout this trade do this. NOT TALKING CONTRACT WITH TRADES IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE TRADE. Plain and simple.
I like this trade for the Wolves, primarily because Connelly has earned some trust. I don't think KAT is worth his contract and lacks the mental toughness for the big moments. Good guy though, if he can get stronger mentally he could be a 3rd option on a championship caliber team.

Forget what you thin talentwise, and think abou the match.
BIG improve for the wolves. Randle is a solid Ball handler, can create his own shots, generate A LOT of double teams, is a decent 3pt shooter, and really good rebounder and a hard working guy. He just was no longer a good fit for the knicks centered around brunson. Divo is amazing shooting, a good passer and can drive to the basket as well.
Solves Nothing. Ya still have 0 bball IQ fake mj, Utah Jazz are old, and now teams can clog the paint where overweight mj likes to attack cuz he cant shoot.
