Everyone seems to totally dismiss Jaxson Hayes , who had a few good runs when given the opportunity last season…I’m not sure what he has done as far as putting on strength , but I am hoping for growth in his game

JJ is young, who's a recent player and a 3 point specialist. He definitely knows how to handle the media, considering that's also his background and that's half the battle being in the Lakers coaching seat. He checks all the boxes so far for today's modern NBA. A lot of these young players live on social media too, so he'll be able to relate with the players in that sense. Coach K is also a phone call away too, so if JJ is full Mamba Mentality on becoming the best coach, and is relentless in that pursuit, then we may have a winner.
The other side now is the operations. Will the Lakers actually stop being so irrational? I get that we want NOW, but the reality is that it will take time. You'll have to give this at least 3-4 years and stick to your guns no matter what. A huge part of basketball is continuity, which creates chemistry that results in an identity. That should be our goal, and if everyone works around the clock to execute that, then we're doing all the right things.

I’m still of the mind that JJ is not the right choice for this Job. It’s one thing to have great knowledge of the game. But you have to be a leader of men. You have to manage egos. We haven’t seen JJ in the role. But we’ll see how he adapts. But there’s a lot of pressure being put on JJ. I hope he’s up to it.
At this point how would anyone even know what kind of coach JJ Reddick will be in the future? He hasn't even coached a single game yet.

The Lakers only live and die on every game, when every game is up in the air. TBH, if you have Lebron James, AD, and this supporting cast, no matter how good the west is, every game should not be a nail bitter. This team lives and dies on every off season. Where the biggest name that has signed in Free agency since Magic Johnson left was Gabe Vincent, a guy who went from G league to role player. Rob Pelinka hasn't been able to take a meeting with anyone in the league higher status than Gabe Vincent. People are warning JJ not to take the job because it's a circus. They're right. The sister had to beat her brother in court to take control of the team. She does a smart thing. She hires Magic to run the front office. Magic has the juice with NBA players to get a meeting with anyone. He got us Lebron, Rando, Avery Bradley, Dwight Howard, Javalle Mcgee. All the right role players to surround Lebron with a good fit.
Magic steps down because of Rob. Magic calls him out publicly and airs dirt. Magic didn't even have a bad thing to say about Karl Malone who made the public comments about him when he tried to play after coming out as HIV positive. Magic wanted to play basketball desperately, and Karl Malone (temporarily) put a stop to that. Magic took it in stride. So whatever Rob did to Magic, had to be pretty bad for Magic to speak on it publicly. Now Rob can't even get in a room with anyone higher status than Tauren Prince or Gabe Vincent. JJ Reddick can't fix that. Losing Magic was a big loss. At the very least, Magic Johnson is getting a meeting with free agents. He's not going to get ignored by Valuncunas to go to Washington.
JJ will get all the time he needs to lead this team because Bron is going to retire sooner than later…
