How well can this work with another big? Mitchell Robinson missed time but Randle barely played center.
Looks like a more punishing half court drive and kick (flowing?) offense with more grab and go transition opportunities are coming this year.

This is interesting. I have found the “he’s a ball stopper” talk to be interesting given he’s replacing a guy who had fewer assists per game, though I understand some of the concerns. Looks like this make me feel like that’s not it, though. It feels like he’s much more capable than “ball stopper” implies.

I’m gunna be honest, I think everyone is going to be surprised that Randle is a much better passer than we think. Fingers crossed obviously. We all know Kat would blow through defenders. Randle might also be a bonehead but he is a much more(and better) willing passer.

Wolves were missing a slasher in the playoffs other than Ant. Naz and Jaden had handle issues on a lot of drives. I’m interested to see the possibilities

My issue is the additional 4.5 drives per game. We want those going to Ant, if anyone. Randle isn’t bad in a vacuum. But, hes not what we need on the floor with Ant and Rudy if we’re trying to maximize them, which we should be. Only way he works out is if he can consistently shoot a respectful percentage from 3. Enough to pull defenders out to him on most possessions. Then his other traits can prove useful. But, if you ask me if I’d rather have 4.5 Randle drives per game (over Ant) vs 4.5 KAT 3PAs per game, im going KAT all day.

Randle Isos drive bad offense, just cause he passes it more doesn’t make for good offense.
His Iso Point Per Possession was worse than town’s last year not better.
He drives 4 times more per game but generates the same number of field goals 2.9 vs 2.8. His .8 more assists doesn’t create a better offensive possession overall.
Assuming drives are twos and his assists are threes, Randle is generating 10 (2.9 * 2 + 1.4 * 3) points from his drives while KAT is generating 7.4 (2.8 * 2 + .6 * 3) point.
7.4/9.5 per drive is better than 10/13.9 per drives.

Please trade Randle, we’re gonna have the floor spacing of the 1980’s Trail Blazers

How many point are the drives worth? That’s all that matters
