Can we at least wait until games are played before wildly bashing the players?

Collins – He will probably be what we expect him to be. He’ll be the Spurs backup big, but won’t be considered to find minutes as a starter, since he just doesn’t mesh well with Wemby. He’s overpaid for sure, but I think his contract will be used next year to bring in another player and match salaries. He’s won’t be a disappointment.

Sochan – I don’t think anyone expects him to be a sharpshooter and I don’t think the Spurs drafted him for that ability. I think the author is wrong by putting that type of expectation on him, as most Spurs fans hope that he can become more of a Draymond type player that can be a pest on defense and do the tough, in-your-face hustle plays. We’ll get a little bit more of the same as last year, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and I think he will solidify his starter role by the contract extension time. He won’t be disappointment.

Keldon – If anyone is going to improve from the CP3 trade, it’s Keldon. We all know that he can shoot reliably from 3 and can attack the rim with strength and hustle, but he just hasn’t been found in the right spots for him to excel. I think that Paul will figure out the best way to help his game, and Tre Jones will start to use him the same way. He won’t be a disappointment and I think he might surprise us next year.

Branham – Oh boy. Can he disappoint us if we are already disappointed? He completely fell off last year and he’s a negative on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. We were already expecting his defense to be bad since he’s never shown defensive skills to begin with, but without a reliable middy or 3, and his inability to drive the lane, I don’t know what his role is with this team. He won’t disappoint since he’s already bad.

  3. I mean, I don’t expect much from Zach or Malaki and I think if you do this season, you will more than likely be disappointed. So I don’t disagree with them there. With Keldon, I have slight hope he can play better this season but we’ll see. As for Jeremy, I don’t know why, but I feel like he’s about to prove a lot of people wrong this season.

Jeremy’s first year he was still a rookie, his second year he played out of position and became the scapegoat for the spurs being so bad. This year, I think the game will come way more naturally to him and slow down for him because this is probably the first year in his career so far that he can finally play comfortably from the beginning.

  4. Collins, Johnson, Sochan and Braham. I see no lies there. Wait until the season starts and then you’ll see with your own eyes.
