The way to offset a run n gun team is to run n gun right back at them. Picking up the pace is great but increased pace mixed in with half court sets will optimize the Bulls offense. The Bulls need to work on half court offensive sets. Focus on ball and player movement in the half court. See Golden States offense.
Run-and-gun offense might work in the regular season, but it won’t against stronger teams. Boston can play fast, but their real strength is in their half-court offense, where they rely on dribble drives, quick ball movement, and finding open threes. Every player on their team can shoot, and they’re constantly moving—turning their hips and staying agile. In contrast, Vuc struggles to rotate quickly, and our big men aren’t accustomed to keeping up with fast-paced half-court ball movement. Our half court offense is still to guard heavy. Boston, defending champs, have the best half court offense because their Forwards are the ones getting the ball swinging instead of the PG.
