Newest Knick TJ Warren GOES OFF During Practice! NY Signs MULTIPLE PLAYERS To Roster | Knicks News
The Knicks wasted no time after trading for Karl-Anthony Towns by adding more talent to their roster. They added veteran wing TJ Warren to the team and he recently went off during practice. NY also signed more players to camp deals but surprisingly didn’t sign more players with size but rather more guards. The Knicks want to make training camp extremely competitive, so that whoever earns one of the remaining roster spots has put in the necessary work to earn it… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

They're not signing them to make the team,u needs live body's for practice.
Alex O’Connell seems to be a Westchester Knick. He was on SL roster too. Damion Bough Westchester too. Just warm bodies for camp. I think clearly the Valanciunas move is happening at deadline, and Precious/Sims until then. TJ Warren or Okeke are ideal end bench guy. However, are we able to sign one? I don’t think so unless Mitch trade to free cap. Shamet is a lock.

In my opinion I know that Sims hasn’t really showed much but I feel this is gonna be his break out season.

I don't know how many times it needs to be repeated. These trades are LEVERAGE. The front office guys and Leon are moving chess pieces here. I don't get how this is so complicated to understand to some of these Knick analysts😀

I believe shamet and warren plus one of our two ways like Jacob toppin will make our last couple roster spots. I feel like knowing thibs he wants someone that’s a vet and has some size. Okeke is young and may need some more time to develop. I would prefer warren because of his offensive capabilities. Okeke is more known for this defensive capabilities. Imagine a bench of Payne/deuce/shamet/warren/achiewa or deuce/shamet/warren/achiewa and mikal. It gives us a combination of offense defense size and versatility. So hyped for this season and got a brusnkn jersey coming tommrow lfgk

After the trade the Knicks are only $100k under the 2nd Apron the 2 remaining spots will go to Landry and one of the two ways. The Knicks can't afford to sign Tj Warren or Okeke both will get cut. This is the reason why Morris did not resign on the training camp deal. There is no path to making the roster due to financials.
Knicks need a power forward to replace Randall so OG plays the 3 and Hart comes off bench.
I think they got more guards in case a trade for a big involves McBride and will leave them thin at guard
More centers
You can’t sign Warren and shamet. There only room for a vet minimum and rookie minimum.
We have huckporti on a two way who can be converted to the rookie minimum.
First, I think that you are incorrect about the center position. We now have 5, Towns, Robinson, Sims, Nnaje, Huckporti. Next, Warren vs Okeke is going to be tough. Warren is more experienced and can put the ball in the hoop. Okeke is more athletic and better defensively. Keeping both would make us a nearly unstoppable team.

If we get Trey Murphy we will be good. Also knicks should buy out Nnaji from Barcelona and bring him over. Also, sims should get a shot at Center. We keep looking for more Centers. Give him the confidence to be that back up until either Mitch returns or he’s traded for Murphy

They are in training camp…they probably are using these guards to work on teaching their defensive scheme. They have 2 new starters and og wasn’t in camp last year.
