This and his windmill dunk at the end of that suns game were so hype

I remember watching this live. I felt like Zion was way over hyped and then he did this to us and I was like holy shit this guy can actually shoot

  3. Lonzo lowkey showing his court awareness and just dropping casual in rhythm dimes

  4. Half a decade since this happend? Shits out of control gents

The constant injuries and weight issues really put a damper on the Zion hype. I remember thinking this guy was headed towards all-time great status after his 2nd season when he put up 27 ppg on 61% fg. He looked good last year but definitely took a step back usage-wise. Kinda hope he just tells the rest of the Pels this season to gtfo the way and let him run everything.

I do feel like Pels need to move off of Ingram and make CJ come off the bench or something. The whole team composition is weird af. Start Dejounte, Trey, Herb, Zion and a C, and have CJ as the 6th man. Ingram is kind of the odd man out.

If Zion can unlock that consistently, he’d be unstoppable. The potential is still there.

I feel he just just getting the jitters from this game. They still guard him the same way to this day

  8. Impressive how he doesn’t need thress to be effective, but man, 25 in 5 years?? wtf

He ain’t been the same since the rise of door dash

Why would you add almost 5 years later at the end there? Do you just want to hurt me?

Four 3s in a single quarter. In the 1,376 quarters the pelicans have played since that quarter, he has scored 0.02 3s per quarter (about 1 three every 55 quarters). Pretty stark difference!

The reason he hasn’t made more 3’s besides the obvious (always hurt) is the coach implicitly told him not to take any because he is too unstoppable in the paint. He has decent touch and would make more if current coach encouraged him to take more. I’m still very high on Zion.

I remember I was in 8th grade listening to this on the radio while I was trying to sleep. I wanted my Spurs to have an insane turnaround and make a run for the playoffs to keep their steak alive. Can’t believe I’m in college now. Crazy how time flies

I remember thinking the Pels would quickly become contenders behind Zion. Oh well

  15. So much hope, so much potential. The weight of the expectations (and his own weight) ruined it all

I remember watching some recap of this and joking with one of my friends on how ESPN makes new stats to make players sound better. I think they said something like “the first rookie to shoot 100% from 3 in their first game back from an injury” or something like that

Man. I thought he is gonna be like Dwight or Shaq. Pfft
