The turnovers were bad, but the rest of his game looked good. I’m not really gonna worry about plus minus given the 4 guard lineups out there.
I was happy to see how well he shot it off the catch, which will mostly be his role on the team. His release is lightning quick and he looked comfortable and confident taking it. One of the concerns with him is whether or not he could hit shots without having the ball in his hands a lot. I’m no longer worried about that.

Aside from the turnovers Knecht was great. He definitely has a chance and will prob get an opportunity to get real rotation minutes this upcoming season.

His turnovers should plummet with less responsibility in the real rotation. It’s really good to see that if he seems to have no problem scoring inside if he has a night where he’s not hot from 3. That will be huge for keeping him on the court.

Watching his tape before the draft I had him pegged as an easy Top 5 pick in this draft. His scoring is effortless and reminiscent of the best shooter-scorers in the game today. Just tremendous.
As he gets more time, he’ll learn other things too. I thought a handful of his turnovers were just not being locked in the whole time. Every minute you’re out there, you need to be focused and he just lapsed occasionally as rookies do.
Still, the skills are there. I thought defensively he looked passable in man although a little behind off the ball. Just small, coachable things that he can learn. He’s going to be a big time scorer at some point in his career.

He’s the real deal Holyfield. Looks like we got a steal at 17.

He is NBA ready.

I’m gonna say it. It’s as if we got another scoring option akin to Kuz.

I think his ceiling is a Bojan Bogdanovich type player but with more athleticism.
