Why were people overthinking a skilled Kentucky guard again?

Crown him, he balled in one preseason game

he bulks up so he can absorb contact on layups and his ceiling is extremely high. only knock on his offensive game today. love how he takes care of the rock too, only 1 turnover.

Bronny looked bigger than him and he’s considered small so I’m going to guess that’s why. Also he did go 8th overall and it’s not like he dropped out of the lottery.

  4. Can someone explain why the Spurs gave this pick away? Trading an 8th pick for a future pick and a swap feels like trading a boat for a mystery box

Dude isn’t going to be in control of the ball this much, though. That’s something that he’s going to have to get used to. He looked much better during the minutes where he was running things and doing what he wanted. A little less so when rotation players were still out there. I also think he’s gonna learn quickly that NBA players are different athletically and you can’t just waltz to the rim.

He’s got a bright future, though. That’s obvious.

luka garza 20 points in 22 min y’all highlighting the wrong guy

He looked much quicker than he did in summer league when he was allegedly coming off an injury. Got to his spots way more easily than I expected.

The shot looked nice. The finishing at the rim needs work, but it honestly felt more like he just needs to adjust to NBA defenses (sometimes he slowed down too much or showed the ball too early on the layup giving the defender time to close and swat it).

Defense will be a problem for sure, but he does at least try.

I liked Dillingham predraft but I don’t expect him to play much this season early on for Minnesota. If he shows improvement on defense, I think he could find stable rotation mins in the second half of the year.

He’s a good on ball scorer and very dynamic and shifty but since the Wolves are trying to win, I don’t see him playing much early on in the year.

Just saw a Timberwolves player other than Ant make shots that wasn’t at the three or rim brought tears to my eyes.

This guy looked so stellar. I got more athletic Lou Williams vibes from him.

I forget the wolves made that move in the draft

you guys reall think 21 pts on 20shots is that impresive? And a 0 on defense?

I didn’t overlook him. I was shocked the Spurs didn’t keep the 8th pick and draft him lol

The league let us have him. Insane work by TC.

Takes home a game? I’ve never heard it said like that before.

He’s going to have to be one of the league’s best scorer’s to get himself consistent playing time. He can get buckets, but he is way too small out there, and is a huge defensive risk on any lineup.
