Without Wiggs, they’re gonna need JK to put pressure on the clips. Melton is needed for the POA defense and three point shooting and Loons gonna hoist a few threes in the preseason to help with some of the spacing for JK to do his thing.

Figured he was just experimenting since after all the interviews and comments from both Kerr and draymond I doubt he decides to start draymond at center, especially for a preseason game lol
TJD being in the third group was odd though

I know this is gonna be unpopular but I’d start TJD, Dray, JK, Melton, Curry with Melton as my point of attack defender. Pods would be my back up point and Wiggs would be my 6th man who would get big minutes when he’s on, but given less responsibility overall so that he doesn’t have to be counted on every night. He’s been too unreliable to be trusted right now and I’d rather play more for the future than pretend we have an outside shot at a title if we stick to our veterans. Time to set JK free while letting Dray play where he’ll be most effective.

Curry, Wiggins, and Dray are the only must-start players in my eyes. I wouldn’t mind going small with Dray at center, but it doesn’t sound like we want to go that direction, so we would start TJD with Kuminga as our 6th man. For the starting SG spot I would prefer Buddy Hield honestly, but Podz or Melton could fit there as well, giving us a final starting line-up/bench rotation of:
Curry/Hield/Wiggins/Dray/TJD
Podz/Melton/GP2/Kuminga/Anderson

Would Kerr start JK at 3 just not to make it awkward when Wiggs is out? His 3 ball is not really for a 3. Melton is the best option for 2 because he is a legit 3 and D guy at his best.
