    My order of preference:
    1) Jovic
    2) Jaime
    3) Haywood

But Jovic is far ahead of Jaime imo. Just Cuse the positional fit is much better for a 4

I like Jaime for a spark off the bench at 2/3

Everyone talking about the starter, isn’t the closing lineup more important?

  3. Jovic or Highsmith should start, whoever is shooting it better. I want to see Jaime off the bench with the ball in his hands.

Jaime should run the second unit. Jovic is a much better fit in the starting lineup as we desperately need spacing.

I think it’s pivotal to have size this year. IMO the best we’ve looked in the front court was with the stretch bigs next to Bam. Meyers and Olynyk. Making Bam the 4 makes us a big team and utilize his best skill against wings. I’m very comfortable with a nominal big guard Porzingis while Bam locks up Tatum. I think Jovic although not as big as those two, can fill a similar function, guard the nominal center while Bam takes the best wing and takes advantage of him on offense. That’s how you unlock iso Bam. Then close with small ball like the Warriors but with Bam at the 5.

My brain says Highsmith, but my heart says Jaquez or Jovic.

Ideally it’s a player we get back in a Herro trade; that was what I was hoping for to happen this offseason. Given the front office has completely failed on that front, it’s obviously Jovic’s job. The bigger question is who starts at SG next to Rozier and Jimmy – it should be Duncan but they’ll probably stupidly start Herro even though it’s so obvious he fits better as a sixth man on this team.

  9. Its absolutely Jovic unless Haywood takes some kind of crazy leap in 3p% and volume

Love Jaime but he’s just not a PF. He’s a 2 or 3. We can go small with him next to Bam in certain instances but in general we need someone with some size at the 4.

I think it is hilarious that among fans and media this is a debate when Heat finally have the nigh perfect 4 next to Bam now.

Jovic can defend, finish on fast breaks better than most on the team, ball handle, and hit the 3. This feels like a no brainer, but the rookie that we aren’t sure can hit a 3 or defend NBA level 5s yet is the route some think Spo should be pushing for.

J Rich, Duncan, Jaime, HH, and Ware is not a horrible 2nd unit at all.

i like jovic as the staring 4, with highsmith playing the old caleb role of sometimes starting when needed, but also the backup 4/sometimes 3. ideally jaquez will be the main backup 3
