NYK has had rumored interest in Smart before. No deal is imminent but several sources indicated the Knicks are willing to be active on the market.

I know Smart was brought in as a culture setter for the Grizzlies but I still think his best fit on that team is off the bench. Not a fan of a Ja/Smart/Bane lineup shooting wise.

It’s hard for me to see why the Grizzlies would do this. Knicks want Smart the same reason the Grizzlies want him, they have a great offensive/bad defensive point guard.
For who? Smart makes 20 mil while Mitch makes around 15 mil. Our FO has been reluctant to include Mcbride in any trade. So unless the Grizzlies wanna take back Jacob toppin on a sign and trade and a rookie we just drafted, I don’t see it. Also, we need Mitch this year more than Smart. Lastly, Thibs loves Josh Hart. I highly doubt thibs would ok a hart trade.
