This is not new. Go play NBA Live 06. A lot of the “new” moves you see including the double step back is all there it just requires a combination of button presses.
Just slow down game speed to 30 to 40 so you can chain combos.

– left foot forward without gather/holding the ball upside down
– gather then fake pass while side step with right foot (first step after gather)
– plant left foot (second step after gather)
