[KNBR] Steve Kerr on the Curry, Melton, Kuminga, Draymond, TJD starting lineup: “Not great. Not great, but it’s preseason for everybody so we don’t have really good rhythm coming out, slow start but still good to get those 5 guys on the floor & see what that looked like.”

TJD looked off tonight on defense. That was the biggest thing to me

Kuminga was unimpressive, wiggins need to be in this lineup regardless. TJD didn’t have the best game, but a lob threat like him at C is good for steph, and his shot blocking ability will make things easier for draymond

Can someone explain why Melton over Moody?

Kuminga is not a 3, Kerr knows this, but Kuminga doesn’t believe it, so Kerr is going to play Kuminga at the 3 in the preseason to demonstrate to him why he’s a 4 before benching him for the season opener in favor of a Draymond/TJD (or Looney?) frontcourt.

unless Kuminga can play SF or somehow switch to SG, how does he stay in the starting lineup if we’re trying to keep Dray at the PF spot where he should be and prefers to play?

Look from what I’m seeing; I think JK should start. But he should not close. We need JK’s scoring punch and we need to give him as much opportunity to score n do so. At the same time. If JK is on the floor; it has to be EITHER dray or TJD… not all three.

I think dray should come off the bench.
