The New York Knicks defeat the Charlotte Hornets, 111-109. Miles McBride led the Knicks with 22 points, 4 3PM, and 3 assists, with Landry Shamet adding 16 points and 4 rebounds in the victory. Karl-Anthony Towns (10 points, 4 rebounds) and Mikal Bridges (4 points) combined for 14 points in their Knicks debut. LaMelo Ball tallied 18 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds for the Hornets in the losing effort. The Knicks improve to 1-0 in the preseason, while the Hornets fall to 0-1.
