Finances were apart of it in the sense the Wolves had enough experience to see KAT isn't steady enough to be a #2 guy when chips are. They're willing to pay out but that money has to be efficiently spent. See how it goes, but Wolves fans like this move….KAT best suited to being a #1 on a junk team, a #2 on a good team, or a #3 on a championship caliber team. Just my two cents.

Honestly this trades looks solid… BUT mavs with Klay also looks very strong… I think everything Will turn around how Edwards develops and grow this season, he could be the deciding factor
Trading Towns was PURELY a basketball decision.

As a Timberwolves fan, we need another experience PG , Cameron Payne should be in this deal , I don’t know why they miss in that one.
Dilignham is cool but is only 19 in a Championship contender.
I'll miss KAT and would have liked to see the team run it back with him, but reality was his contract had to go and the return we got was as much as you could have hoped for, with a possible chance at a 1st round pick if Detroit improves in 3 years. They had an excellent draft. A couple others seem like they might be maturing as well (Minott, Garza).
