Random thought not based on the game performance but I wonder if they’re really going to assess Jalen as PG and make a move at the deadline for a ball handler
Hopefully Wendell is ok
missed most of the game but Goga numbers are fantastic. As I have been saying we need a real center. Goga, Mo Bamba, and possibly JI fit the bill. I prefer Wendell at the 4 spot honestly.
Looking like the SL got outclassed a bit, which isnt good news but its preseason.
We played like a team whos playing their first competitive game in months. We looked sluggish and rusty out there, lots of our misses were straight up bricks too. Still lots of positive to see, AB looked a lot more fluid as a lead ball handler, our bench is still gonna be nice this season. Paolo is still him.
Early impressions are that things look basically the same as last season.
Bench resembles a team with well-defined roles and a blend of complementary skills. AB looked pretty good in the Jingles role, though the wonderful PnR with Moe is going to be missed.
Starters still look like a disconnected bunch of individuals with no chemistry or understanding what they’re supposed to be doing on the offensive end. Lots of panicked shots and desperate drives into traffic that inevitably end in turnovers. And yes, I know it’s only the first game of pre-season. But if they didn’t figure it out all of last season, I don’t know what makes anyone think it’s going to happen between now and game 1.
3rd team is a fun unit. Goga crushed it, but then he is clearly too good for that group.
Go Magic.
Blow it up…?
I was told we signed a 3 point shooter
