OFFICIAL: We’re Unveiling ‘The Pat Riley Court at Kaseya Center’ πŸ€ | October 7, 2024

Here’s the moment Micky Arison shared the special news with Pat Riley that from this season onward, all current and future courts at Kaseya Center will bear a dedication in honor of him and his time with the organization as Head Coach and Team President.

Set to enter his 30th season with the organization, Riley becomes just the second coach in NBA history to receive such an honor (joining Boston’s Red Auerbach.)

  1. Man that is so awesome and such a class act by Micky. Now I have been critical of Pat's decisions when it comes to players, but I always will appreciate him for as long as he's in the front office. And that's why I would tell alot of fans to keep appreciating riley while he's here, because the day he leaves will be the saddest day here in Miami. Cause it will feel the same as how the Dolphins are still trying to find their identity after Don Shula left. But either way congrats to our godfather, this was well-deserved.

  2. Pat Riley came from the Lakers, a giant basketball organization and was well respected there. Yet, he took on this young baby brother NBA Team from Miami that you’d often look down as they were just an expansion team at the time. He immediately transformed the Heat franchise, started the culture, the conditioning, the grit, the hardwork, and determination. His impact was tremendous and immediately felt as this young new expansion team would go on to win a lot in such a short span of time. They’d eventually culminate to 3 Championships and many more in the future. Pat Riley created the identity that the Miami Heat has now, right from coaching to management. While there are still many other teams out there that still struggle to have an identity, would often say that the Heat Franchise is a good model of an organization.

Pat Riley is the Miami Heat. The impact he has made and the culture he has started within the organization will continue and will be beneficial as they look to win more in the future. They’re always going to be a competitive team even if their roster is not at their best.

  3. The great Pat Riley thank you for the great memories growing up in Miami and becoming a Miami Heat fan in the 90's.
