I’ve been thinking about it, I could see the Rockets trading for Simmons at deadline. We take on Dillon Brooks’ contract + filler and in return, we get a first. I feel like in this case, Ben’s value is pretty static whether he’s healthy or not.
If Ben is his usual self, they can use him to clear up space to sign Ingram or Jimmy. If Ben is healthy, they can re-sign him for cheap and their team is one of the better fits for Ben’s playstyle.
