so many people in that thread were saying it looks awful, but it doesn’t look that bad?
Comfort-
Release point and upper half look really clean and consistent. It is a deep setup (lowering before he goes into his shot) might be to slow when players are contesting. But if it’s repeatable then I’m good with any shifts he makes.

He desperately needed a higher release point with more arch. Hopefully he can speed this up, but I love it

People are afraid of changing a jumpshot and I get it
But they’re also acting like he’s bricking everything in this clip and that’s simply not the case.
If he can hit the shot at a similar clip to his 37% last season, and he has a higher release point, it’s a better jumpshot. In Chip we trust

I like that he’s got a higher release now but man it’s still slow motion lol. He’ll get there though, he’s got Chip
ParamedicUnfair7560
It’s a ugly shot but if it goes in ok, it does look slow but he’s taller than almost everyone so it shouldn’t get blocked much
Headlesshorsman02
Look at all the shot doctors in r/nba lmao 🤣 he will be just fine

Did he shoot like that in the game? It’s one thing to practice that way but I wonder if he reverts to what’s comfortable once he’s at game speed.

Looks quicker with a higher arc. Might go backwards then forward percentage wise, but if it helps him shoot over wings, I’m all for it.

Higher arc in preparation for Wemby and the Longboi Era that is coming to the NBA.

Chet looked absolutely amazing last night. He got FASTER!
Now that we have hartenstein, and I see Chet has not hit his speed or balance/body control ceiling, I think Chet is going to end up being a more all around player than KD
Jones also looked amazing. I believe he will be in our rotation.
The big surprise for me though, Ducas and Leons. Both these dudes are solid players. I expect we will win another G league championship

I watched a Paul George podcast where he interviewed Chet. PG recommended practicing with a weighted ball to teach your lower body to get more involved. I wonder if that is what is going on.
