What i saw did not impress me, but it was only the first pre season game.
Spurs are the same team as last yr.
What game did you see? They did not play good at all. Very sloppy. It was definitely a preseason game.
Without Wemby and Paul it was still a close game that says alot
Defense looked bad, OKC got any shot they wanted.. Lots of turnovers, sloppy play..Harrison Barnes is a good edition, Champagnie did good, hopefully he can continue that into the regular season. It wasn’t a good game, but it’s preseason so we’ll see what they do from here.
Sochan looking the same isn’t a good thing clan …. But on a good note , Julian off the bench gonna be nasty
Pop and the coaching staff's obsession w/Cissoko is purely theoretical at this point — he can't shoot, he can't score, he has no offensive game at all. In Summer League, his shooting was abysmal. HIs passing is great and you wonder if he could maybe become a bargain bin Boris Diaw… but as I'm always reminded, Diaw was a stud coming into the league. There's a stories from his Phoenix days where his hops were supposedly higher than Amare Stoudemire, and he was a beast. So I don't know what Cissoko is unless he shoots. There's also nothing he's doing that isn't already REPLICATED by Sochan, so he doesn't really have a role. If they end up dealing Sochan down the line, maybe you plug Sidy into that role down the line… but right now, he's just training camp guy.
keldon have never had this explosiveness before, you're a little biased against keldon buddy, have to soften up the hate, you're new arround here.

crazy how spurs basketball returns and fans immediately go back to being so pessimistic. they played without like 5 players including wemby cp3 and vassell and got a pretty close game against a much deeper team.
I thought the short time we harrison barnes he looked good, good passes and shot selection, when the real season starts I see him meshing really well with the guys

I want Castle to shoot more man let it fly atleast some midrange all his attempts were contested layups and that nasty dunk

Sochan was wide open and passed a couple times. He should stop doing that.
I didn't see the game but watched the extended highlights. I am generally not impressed. Did not see a string of plays that suggest that there is a great foundation t9o build on. OKC looked much more dominant and attacked us at will. Our defense needs serious help. I am surprised that guys who are fighting for playing time are getting beaten on plays so easily.Hope we see see more of Castle next game.

Some small minded commenters…Pops said he loves Sidy and he is going to be a very special player. Not everybody is going to be a shooter. He is a beast that is very good passer and can drive to the rim like a dunk champ. He is already solid on defense but gets over aggresive on both ends of the court leading to foul trouble. His shooting will improve enough and everywhere else he is way ahead of the average 20 year old!!! Spurs got a legit 2nd round steal like Tre Jones!
My only constructive criticism on Castle is his ball distribution, he needs to improve on passing the ball. It looked sloppy at times which led to 6 or 7 turnovers.
i don’t understand why everyone is defending sochan so much. he isn’t all that
