section 318 row 7 vs 200

Hi guys, my sis will visit LA, and I’m planning to take her to a Lakers game in person for the first time—it’s my first time watching a game live, too, other than on TV. Right now, I’m not sure whether the seats in section 318 row7(in the very middle) or in the corner of the 200 level are better, as the prices are pretty similar. I would appreciate any advice and thanks in advance!

I’m personally not a fan of any of the 200s section unless you can get PR section. You can typically find PR seats on a pretty good deal last minute if you’re willing to wait.

I just don’t bother watching in LA. Go to another place if possible to catch the gsme

My guy, you might find better seats in a better section if you wait til closer to the game to get tickets. Lots of people cancel and are just trying to recoup most of what they spent quickly, there’s deals to be had

anything 200 Level is better than 300s middle in my opinion. You are way too high in the 300s as there are three level of box seats separating 200s and 300s. You’ll find yourself sometimes looking at the jumbotron instead of live action.

Section 318 Row 7 is basically the first row of that section. That’s where I sat for my very first Lakers game back in 2013 (Hawks @ Lakers, where Kobe dunked on Josh Smith).

I’d pick that over the 200’s. There’s a giant gap between row 7 & row 1 in section 318 because that’s where a booth is available. Back in the day, that’s where the Fox Sports radio personalities would sit. It dips in and nobody is seated directly in front of you, so row 7 is basically like the first row of the section.

Sorry to hijack thread but got similar questions on my 1st time watching. Planning to go to Utah vs LA on the 19th, its one of the cup games. Not sure how this will affect my questions

    1. Is it better to get tickets now? Or wait till the day of? The tickets I saw for one of the lower bowls are around $600-$1000 each

    2. Is it possible to go early to watch players shootaround? If so, how early?

    3. How long can you typically stay after the game to watch whatevers happening on the court?

I’d rather stay at home or go to a sports bar than sit in the 300’s

200 level is always better than 300’s in my opinion. Secondly, wait for an hour before tip off. You’ll be shocked at the deal you get.
