We saw a lot of great things from Nikola Jovic once he became the full-time starter at the 4 last year. I tried to break down why I think his abilities are exactly what the Heat need – can’t wait to see what he can do this season!

I think Ware is better so I think there is no big breakout for Jovic, more of a 15-24 min/night depth role and 15-30 starts
I get the hype for Ware, but I’d bet he won’t be ready to play serious minutes until mid-season, the earlierst. What I DON’T get though, is how the hype for Ware (the shiny new toy) on this sub has completely blocked out the fact that we have a developing 6’10” floor spacer/pace pusher who has some decent guard skills that will be sorely needed on a team that struggles to score. The man ended the season as the starting 4 next to Bam and that is how this season will likely start as well. I’m very excited to see how Jovic’s game has grown and completely fine with waiting to see what we have with Ware.
Also, Bam is a 5. Our best lineups will feature Bam as a 5. I wish we would stop acting like he needs to move down a position when he is already one of the best defenders in the league at that spot. Having that type of versatility at the 5 is huge for any team’s success. The only thing we haven’t had is a consistent long-term frontcourt partner. Jovic can show that he can be that this season.
BOI got some beef on him now. 240lbs I believe.
