Hornets lost their minds not developing young talent bc of personality problems (off court stuff like drugs and guns…remember this point), but the journey led them to a super clean cut young group with a replacement for the down to earth veteran star as a role player. That group can do what memphis did without the landmines. An easy conference and no respect for the franchise is the perfect combination for a team that lives off of runs.
LaMelo looked like a positive defender. He was sticking with Duncan Robinson and guarding Jimmy Butler well 1 on 1. I'm quite impressed, I hope it carries on into the regular season. I also noticed that he was hitting the deck a lot but when he did it on layup attempts he was actually landing quite well without using his arms and going for the butt like Charles Barkley says lol. Im sure his wrist injury taught him well. Can't wait to see what the team will be like with Mark, I think we can turn heads if we stay healthy.

Hey you two did NOT buy into Tidjane when he was drafted. Yet, I was one if the first here to say forget Ron Holland, Sheppard, Clingan etc – Tidjane is our man uf hes still on the board.

I was at the game. Sat behind Grant Williams dad. He was talking hoops. We became friends over making fun of Thomas Bryant.
Crowd was good. The boys looked confident. Everyone having fun and seems like they love playing together.
Tiddy and Simpson Jr both look really confident and assertive on their decision making. That is more important than scoring buckets at this stage, if you ask me.
Tiddy isn’t Giannis yet. When he starts dribbling I cringe. He’s got 0 ball handle and 75 speed with ball. But he can shoot!
When Tiddy jabbed that guy and created space! That’s a big time move, and he’s a rookie. Ceiling is so high for this guy. Youngest player in the draft.

Sending the rookies to the G leauge was an old regime thing. I don’t think they picked him at 6 if they didn’t think he wasn’t touching the floor at all. That’s what the old hornets did. These guys know what they’re doing trust.
