I really didn’t get the point of the article

The major flaw is that you still need someone to bring the ball up the floor and most non-point guards don’t have that experience against NBA-level defenders.
MPJ and CB struggled at it last year. AG has shown he can do it, but it slows down the offense. Nikola can obviously do it, but we lose out on the advantage of him running and establishing early position. It’s also extra effort for those two guys that already give 100% to their roles.
I think Strawther is the only other non-point guard who has the skillset to safely bring up the ball regularly.
That said, I don’t think Pickett has NBA-level talent, so I agree that the Nuggets are going to have to get inventive if either Jamal or Russ miss any extended time.
