If he could shoot a consistent league-average percentage on the catch & shoot, or at least be treated as a league average threat by opposing defenses, then that’ll open a new dimension in the Warriors offensive game
He needs another move to get by the first defender. I was hoping he’d add one this off-season. He just spams the one-handed inside-out dribble. And if he isn’t capable of doing that for now, he needs to dig-in defensively and assert himself as a two-way player.
Right now, I do not think he’s worth anywhere in the range of a max extension. AND I don’t think any other team would be willing to pay him that right now, either. The second part is why I think MDJ didn’t offer an extension.
Hope he shows out this season and forces Lacob to back up the Brinks truck.
